Company History & Mission
Weinstein Supply Company was started in 1922 by brothers Jack and Joe Weinstein. It began as a small hardware store in West Philadelphia and grew over the next 30 years. Beginning in the 1960’s, the company began opening new locations in PA, and NJ. In 1997, the Company nearly doubled its size with the acquisition of the wholesale locations of the Speakman Company in PA, NJ, DE and MD.
In 1999, Weinstein Supply Corporation chose to join forces with Hajoca Corporation, a national company with “local roots”, founded in Philadelphia in 1858, and currently headquartered in Lafayette Hill, PA.
Hajoca is a nationwide wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, and industrial products. With hundreds of locations operating under dozens of trade names in the U.S. and Canada, Hajoca is one of the largest companies in the industry. Under the Hajoca management philosophy, each location is run by its manager as a semi-independent business, thus enjoying the advantages of a national distributor while at the same time remaining sensitive to the needs of local customers.
Weinstein Supply continues to be the major plumbing and heating wholesaler in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. We remain committed to keeping abreast of advancing technology and to providing our customers with the products they need, the service they want and the expertise they expect from an industry leader.
